Albania and Turkey both offer dental work at 50 to 70% below Western European prices, and for most patients the prices themselves are close. The differences that decide the choice are the flight time, how the quote is issued, who performs the surgery, and what happens if something needs adjusting. This page compares the two on each point, using Elonix Dental Clinic in Tirana as the Albanian example, with its published 2026 prices.
The short comparison

Turkish prices in this table are typical ranges advertised by Istanbul and Antalya clinics to international patients; they are not quotes from any one clinic and should be checked against a written offer.
Price: close, with one difference
On a single implant or a set of veneers, the two countries land within a hundred euro of each other. The difference appears in how the price is given. Elonix publishes its price list and issues a written treatment plan with a fixed figure in euro from your X-ray or photos before you book a flight. Many Turkish clinics sell packages whose final cost is confirmed after the in-person examination, which is where the “the quote changed when I arrived” complaints in the dental-tourism forums come from. Whichever country you choose, insist on a written plan before you travel.
Distance and the second visit
Implant treatment needs two visits: placement, then the final bridge after three to six months of healing. A second trip is a bigger commitment at three or four hours’ flying than at ninety minutes. From Italy, Albania is the closer option by a wide margin; from Germany, Spain and the UK the difference is one to two hours each way. Elonix collects patients at Tirana International Airport free of charge and, on treatments over €3,000, includes hotel nights for the patient and one guest: up to four on the first visit and up to seven on the second. Plans over €5,000 also earn a refund of the first round-trip flight or ferry ticket up to €200.
Who does the work
This is the question to ask in either country. At Elonix, implant and bone surgery is done by one of five oral and maxillofacial surgeons in one of seven surgical rooms; fifteen specialised dentists handle the restorative work, and the clinic runs 26 treatment units in total. Planning uses CBCT imaging, and implant positions are recorded with the PIC Dental photogrammetry system to within 10 microns. Ask a Turkish clinic the same questions: the good ones answer precisely.
Where the crowns are made
Elonix makes every crown, bridge and full arch in its own laboratory on site. When a fitting needs a change, the technician is in the building. A clinic that sends work to an external laboratory, which is common in high-volume destinations, loses days to courier time, and a traveller on a fixed return flight feels those days.
What goes wrong, and where you stand
Any implant can need attention later. The practical question is how far you are from the clinic that placed it. Elonix gives a 5-year warranty on its work, and a return to Tirana is a short flight from most of Europe. Some Turkish clinics offer similar terms; read them before you pay, and keep your written plan.
Our view
If you live in Italy, Albania is the obvious choice: closer, same prices, written quotes, and a clinic you can reach again easily. From the UK, Germany or Spain the two are closer on distance, so the deciding factors become the written quote, the surgeon, and the laboratory. On those three, Elonix answers clearly, and the free written quote lets you compare it against any Turkish offer line by line.
Frequently asked questions
Is dental work cheaper in Albania or Turkey?
About the same on most treatments. A single implant is €300 to €450 at Elonix against €350 to €600 typically advertised in Turkey; All-on-4 overlaps at roughly €5,000 to €7,000 per arch in both.
Is Albania safe for dental tourism?
Tirana is a European capital with direct flights from most major EU and UK airports. Elonix has treated international patients for years and holds a 5.0 rating on Google from more than 600 reviews, most written by travelling patients.
Can I get a quote from both and compare?
Yes, and you should. Send the same X-ray to both. Elonix returns a written plan and a fixed price in euro at no charge.
